Celebrating 75

Two picture books are celebrating their 75th anniversary: Curious George  by H.A. Rey and Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. Both books will be celebrated with a special preschool story time in November which is Picture Book Month.

Make Way for Ducklings 75th Anniversary Celebration is on Friday, November 18 at 10:10 a.m. at the Little Chute Library. Quack up with the story and activities featuring Mr. & Mrs. Mallard's and their eight ducklings.

STEAMing with Legos

The library recently received two generous grants to support STEAM programming. STEAM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Besides providing a wide selection of reading materials for informational and leisure reading, the library also strives to support life-long learning. One of the best ways to help children learn is to let them play and explore, so the grant money was dedicated to purchasing Legos, Magna Tiles, Snap Circuits, brush bots, and Build-a-Road sets. Watch for Lego and creative play times as part of our regular programming soon.

We are very grateful to our sponsors for their generous gifts! The Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival (Cheesfest) funds were awarded to the Little Chute Library, and the U.S Venture/Schmidt Family Foundation funds will benefit the Kimberly Library. Thank you to both for helping the library go full STEAM ahead.

Come enjoy a storywalk along a lovely wooded path in Heesakker Park in Little Chute!
