The Afternoon Book Club will be discussing Killing Lincoln: the shocking assassination that changed America forever by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard. This book recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever.

Evening Book Club

The Evening Book Club will be discussing The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker. The Earth's rotation slows, gradually stretching out days and nights and subtly affecting the planet's gravity. The looming apocalypse parallels the adolescent struggles of 10-year-old Julia, as her comfortable suburban life succumbs to a sort of domestic deterioration.

Guitar Clinic with Heid Music

Jason from Heid Music will play and demonstrate guitar techniques. Bring your own guitar to play along, or come to learn about this rock star instrument. For kids in grades 6 through 12.

The Science Alliance: Bugs, Beetles, and Bookworms

Learn about entomology (the study of insects) in this super science program. The Science Alliance will help you go buggy for bugs as we take a close look at those creatures who dig in the dirt and fly in the sky.

Mid-Week Matinee

Spend a relaxing afternoon at the Kimberly Public Library enjoying a new-to-DVD movie. This month's feature is Hyde Park on Hudson. The story of the love affair between FDR and his distant cousin Margaret "Daisy" Suckley, centered around the weekend in 1939 when the King and Queen of the United Kingdom visited upstate New York. Rated R. Refreshments will be provided. Brought to you by the library and Kimberly Senior Citizens.
