Culinary Third Thursdays: August 2018

Thursday, August 16, 2018 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Little Chute Public Library

Joanne Marsh has been active in a nutritional supplement business for 35 years. Her passion for studying nutrition has helped her to acquire knowledge on how nutrition affects the body. Along with guidance from a world-renowned physicist/scientist, Mohamed Nar, M.D., Cardiologist, Agronomist, a member of the American Board of Holistic Medicine, with 5 years of research on Bioflavonoids, she has developed delicious, healthy, low-glycemic desserts, treats and more. After three years in the making, "Treat Your Health" is now available. Joanne will be sharing some of her recipes from the book. Attendees can also get hands on experience assisting Joanne and taste testing her treats!  RSVP, invite friends, share recipes, ask questions in the Facebook event.

Enter in Little Chute Library main entrance and follow sign to civic center wing's kitchen area.

This class is offered at no charge to attendees due to the generosity of FOLKS Friends of the Kimberly-Little Chute Public Library, Joanne Marsh and our other lovely community sponsors.

If you would like to find out about more events and fun happenings at both of our library locations, visit our calendar at kimlit.org/library_calendar and of course, sign up for our fun event newsletter here: tinyurl.com/folksemailsignup

Culinary Third Thursday themes vary each session, but happen every month at our Little Chute location. Generally, Chef Megan or special guest walks us through how to prepare a few dishes, allowing time for questions throughout, while giving tricks and pointers about preparing various foods. After the demos, class ends with tasting and socializing. You will bring home a few recipes, but also the confidence and knowledge for other similar pairings and your own future culinary exploits. Third Thursdays typically do not require registration or fees, but please always check first! We usually welcome attendees as kitchen space allows.
