Do you have a favorite book from the previous year or are you looking for a few good reads? Be sure to check out YALSA's Top Ten nominees and vote for your favorites now through October 19. All the books on the list were nominated by fellow teens. Voting is open to readers ages 12-19.
What does YALSA stand for? The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) is a national association of librarians, library workers and advocates whose mission is to expand and strengthen library services for teens, aged 12-18.
One of my personal favorites from the list is The False Prince by Jennifer Nielson, which is the first title of the Ascendance trilogy. The second book, The Runaway King, is great, too, and I anticipate it will be on next year's Top Ten. Of course, now I am stuck in that awful place of having to wait for the third book to come out! I listened the the audio version, and I found both books to be riveting.
