Teen Summer Reading Program

Summertime is a perfect time for reading--especially as a participant in the library's teen summer reading program. Besides all the great new books to discover, you can earn fun prizes as well as chances to win a grand prize. Our theme is Build a Better World, and teen reading hours will be tallied up as part of the library's goal to have 25,000 hours of reading completed by the community. If the goal is reached, then a donation will be made to support Habitat for Humanity, so your hours of reading will be beneficial to you and also help the community!

Here are some fun teen programs just for students entering grades 6-12:

  • June 20 at 1:30PM in Kimberly - Pet Plants: learn about succulents and make a little home for your very own
  • June 26 at 1PM in Little Chute - High School Street Art Stenciling Workshop: learn how to create and use stencils. Open to students in grades 9-12, and registration is required--call 788-7825.
  • July 11 at 1PM in Kimberly - Aubree's Blankets for Veterans: create a tie blanket for veterans
  • July 17 at 1PM in Little Chute - Teen Movie and Pizza
  • July 31 at 1:30PM in Little Chute - Kahoot Teen Trivia: bring a smartphone or tablet for fun trivia

The summer reading program runs June 12-August 4. Registration begins on May 30, so stop by either location to pick up your reading booklet. Read and help Build a Better World!
